Florida Keys Tarpon with Scott Bannerot

Damon Olsen of Nomad Design Tackle moves on to the indescribably beautiful Florida Everglades. He joins up with old friend and past Pro Staffer Captain Scott Bannerot. Captain Scott was with Nomad when we were building the Original Fishing Vessel 'Odyssey'.

Damon flew into Florida to hook up with his old friend and chase the legendary Tarpon on a lure. Riptides and Madscads were the go to baits.

Check out the great adventure they have and experience just how hard it is to get one of these prehistoric beasties to the boat. The fishing is not always easy for Tarpon and sometimes getting that hero shot is pretty hard to do, but like any good angler, a good lure designer learns more sometimes from adversity than from fish on every cast and countless ideas were hatched.
