My first Street Fishing (on foot, urban shoreline, artificial baits, catch, photo, release competition) trip with these was a success. Every color Vetrex I brought with me was successful, each one catching several fish over 24” / 60cm. My usual baits were tried, but the Vertrex outfished them all. Most successful method on the day was the Pop & Drop, alongside shelves and street (stone & wood) features, this is a variation on the old predators method of sink and draw. Popped no more than 2’ off bottom, with a controlled drop often resulted in a fish engulfing the bait as it hit bottom. Only changes I’ve made are to replace the treble hooks with Owner Inline Singles… our urban waterways in the Upper MidWest are full of old snags that just eat all trebles equipped sinking baits.
