Five Days at Fraser - This is a true classic, and features some of the first heavy tackle GT popper fishing ever done in Australia. Nomad Sportfishing started at Fraser Island in 2000, and spent 4 years fishing these waters before expanding into the Coral Sea. The first ever Nomad DVD, filmed in January 2003 at Fraser Island. This is as the name suggests, a DVD that was filmed over 5 days of charter at the northern tip of Fraser Island. It features amazing footage of everything from amberjacks on jigs to GTs on poppers and swarms of cobia to blue marlin switchbaited on a spin rod. Some of the action in here is simply unbelievable. This tool is simply invaluable for changing line on reels, and allows you to do it on your own, without annoying anyone else to help you hold a spool. Carbontex Drag Washer
These are simply the best drag washers available. If you have a Daiwa reel made before June 2009, you need these drag washers. The standard drag in these reels will fail after only a few days use. They come as a set of 5 drag washers(or 3 only for the 4500), and are very easy to replace yourself.
Carbontex can be installed dry OR with a VERY LIGHT coating of Cal's Universal Reel and Drag grease. We reccomend the use of grease. This is the only grease we recommend. It can be used on the drags and everywhere else in the reel grease is desired. All old grease should be cleaned out of the reel before re-greasing with Cal's grease. A VERY LIGHT coating of Cal's grease on the Carbontex is recommended if you are likely to get your reels very wet, it will help waterproof the drag system. Very light means you should be able to leave a finger print in the grease on the surface of the drag. When it comes to drags more grease is NOT better!
